Wendy Hamilton - Nutrition Consultant

Wendy, after training as a Registered Nurse in Lower Hutt , New Zealand (1980-83), went on to complete the Advanced Diploma of Nursing at Wellington Polytechnic (1989), followed by the Intensive Care Nursing Diploma at Wellington Hospital (1991), while working in the Intensive Care Unit (I.C.U.). In 1992 she moved to London and worked in I.C.U.s there prior to training as a Nutrition Consultant at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (I.O.N.) in London (1998-2001).

Wendy now combines her valuable years of nursing experience with a natural approach to health promotion, disease management and prevention. Her goal is to keep people well and out of hospital!  Her passion is identifying and addressing, the nutritional, lifestyle and emotional factors that underlie, cause or contribute to health problems.

Wendy enjoys sharing her knowledge of and passion for good health and nutrition with others. She has written many articles for Healthy Options magazine, spoken on health topics to groups at public meetings and schools, and runs periodic Health Promotion Programmes and Cooking Workshops.

Wendy is on the executive committee of the New Zealand Natural Medicine Association (NZNMA) and is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of New Zealand (NHPNZ).

Every year Wendy regularly attends in-depth seminars on topics such as: nutrition / specific nutrients; adrenal fatigue; thyroid health / Hashimotos; gastro-intestinal health; immune system disorders; chronic fatigue; depression; detoxification; Diabetes / insulin resistance; prenatal and pregnancy care, etc.
